Collaboration on Issues

The IDEA Partnership organizations develop and use tools to enhance relationships and shared work.  The organizations collaborate with each other and with State Education Agencies (SEAs) and national centers on the following issues they identified as important.  Our work is currently focused on:
  • Intersection of NCLB/IDEA
  • Inter-agency Transition
  • Response to Intervention
  • School Behavioral Health
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Creating Agreement / Appropriate Dispute Resolution
  • Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
  • Early Childhood
  • P-16/20 Pipeline: Cradle To College & Career

An excellent example of collaboration across groups around issues is:

The Response-to-Intervention (RTI) Work Group
The work group is composed of 65 partner organization representatives, five technical assistance providers, and a number of state and local organizations and agencies. Members of this Response to Intervention collaborative work group represent a range of roles at all levels of the education system as well as coming from geographic locations from across the United States. Together with the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), these partners form a community with the potential to transform the way we work.
